Having not slept very well last night, partly due to whiffing the residual shall-we-say "pet" smell in my bedroom carpet, this project has risen rapidly to the top of the priority list.
I'm going to rip up the carpet. Soon. Very soon. That, and then Kilz. Lots and lots of Kilz. Coats and coats. It's going to be great. I'd love to install cork flooring, but I can't afford that yet. Instead, what about painting the floor?
This one's a little kitcheny but I like the all-over pattern- hadn't thought of that.
This is a little more what I was thinking of- a border with something in the center. Maybe just one color outside and one inside, like a very basic rug, but no one seems to be doing that anymore... :)
